I have memorized most of the every day phrases in Japanese.
I have memorized at least 10 songs in Japanese.
I have studied Japanese Katakana and Hiragana for the last four months!
I am very proud of myself as of right now because I have been able to read all those Japanese symbols I find all over the internet. However, I still have to work on making sentences and writing it on my own. Another thing that has made me pretty upset is that I keep find super complicated symbols I don't know yet.
I have found out those are known as Kanji. Kanji are Chinese derived symbols that Japan has taken and modified.
(Modified my butt, they're still pretty complicated.) I have to find out what these Kanji mean so that is what I will be studying.
Once I learn Kanji I will pretty much know how to speak Japanese. I recently went roller-skating as an end of the year field trip at school. My calf muscles were killing me that day!
Also my friend is teaching me UFC grabs and techniques since he's been learning it all year.
